The food was outstanding, service felt a little slow, taking our order, clearing the table etc, although the staff was friendly. It was quiet so the atmosphere can't be accurately measured. Will definitely go back again. Lots to try.
I have to say, after reading some bad reviews I was pleasantly surprised. The food is so good! The wife had 8oz sirloin which was cooked to perfection and I had the butchers bangers block and I'd say this is the best meal I've had in a long while also cooked to perfection, yes the prices are quite high but I guess you pay for quality. Good range of beer /lager etc, clean toilets. And our server Karen s was so friendly and happy and enjoyed some good banter. Will definitely return
The place to go for an amazing Bottomless Brunch experience! Went for Bottomless Brunch just over 2 weeks ago and I still can’t forget the fantastic service. Bottomless Brunch gets you 2 courses and then bottomless Prosecco or Pravha for 2 hours. You can have a third course for an additional 2 and you can have a selection of cocktails for 5 extra. We were served by Phoebe and she was fantastic throughout! She put us at ease advising us the two hours didn’t start until we order and then towards the end, gave us a 20 minute warning, asking us if we wanted anymore drinks. Actually throughout she was amazing at spotting when we had finished our drinks or just before asking us if we wanted more. The whole experience was great, the food was the tasty food I expected from Bar Block Whiteley. This was also my first ever Bottomless Brunch experience and I’ll definitely be wanting to go Bar Block Whiteley for round two.
We visited Bar & Block to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday and had a fantastic experience. The steaks were cooked perfectly—tender, flavourful, and just how we ordered them. A special shout-out to Karen, our server, who was absolutely lovely and made us feel really welcome. Great service and a great meal made it a memorable evening!
The steaks are spot on and delicious. Whenever I’m in town, this is one of my preferred places. UPro-tip: if you get the roasted mini-potatoes, any steak is well worth dipping into the garlicky butter at the bottom of the pot! Yum
We've been here twice recently and have had amazing meals both times. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Absolutely love it. Expensive but worth it. We had fillet steaks for mains, three sides - mac cheese, onion rings and garlic mushrooms - and a chocolate bomb and 'trio of puddings' for desert.
We came in tonight, and the food was amazing and our waitress Elise had amazing service, she was so polite and so lovely definitely going more after our experience
